Welcome to The 1 to 1 Advantage - a group of professionals under the leadership of Jerry Vaughn that can guide and assist you and your school district as it explores the feasibility, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a laptop initiative.

We will help you carefully consider the impact, benefits, and costs associated with a meaningful laptop initiative for your school and/or school district. Our group of skilled and experienced professionals will (under your direction) provide you with the knowledge and information you need to make informed decisions. Jerry Vaughn - Tech Savvy Administrator
Jerry Vaughn was recently selected as one of the ten (10) "Tech Savvy" superintendents in the nation by eSchool News. Vaughn received this award during the AASA conference in Tampa, Florida in February 2008. Vaughn is superintendent of Floydada ISD, located in Floydada, Texas.

Floydada High School - Apple Distinguished School
Floydada High School is now in the third year of its 1 to 1 immersion project. It is already considered to be an exemplary program by many schools and people in the state of Texas. Apple, Inc. has referred many school districts to Floydada to learn how to implement a successful laptop learning initiative.

West Texas Apple Collaborative
The West Texas Apple Collaborative (WTAC) was formed in the spring of 2007. The purpose of this collaborative is to promote and advance 1:1 computing and to enhance the immersion of technology in the teaching and learning process. The collaborative consists of several schools located in the "panhandle and south plains" region of West Texas.
